Assistance

Marisa’s Mission, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. Marisa's Mission has four programs that offer grants to qualified recipients.

Grant applications must be submitted online only through Marisa’s Missions portal system by a social worker, patient navigator, resource specialist, or other similar roles. Patients and family members shall not apply directly to Marisa’s Mission. Applications sent in to Marisa’s Mission by mail will not be accepted.

The Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of every month to consider completed applications.

We Offer Four Programs for Assistance

  • Travel/Lodging Program

    Provides funds to assist with the cost of travel and lodging for patients and their families while undergoing cancer treatment.

  • Care Program

    Provides funds to assist with co-payments, health insurance premiums, home hospice care, private home care, medical equipment, wigs, alternative therapies, and other expenses related to the care of the Applicant while undergoing cancer treatment.

  • Home Assistance Program

    Provides funds to assist with home expenses (such as mortgage payments, housecleaning, child care, groceries, landscaping/snow removal, household bills) while the Applicant is undergoing cancer treatment.

  • Trip/Event Program

    Provides funds to assist an Applicant who would like to take a special trip or to attend a special event with family members in order to provide a memorable experience.

    This program applies to Applicants with a terminal cancer diagnosis.
